Part 1: Canada

This blog will chronicle a bit of a road trip I'm taking with an old mate, Jason. It's a bit of a departure for me, as there will be lots of travelling by car and lots of wilderness... rather than just a couple of cities and heaps of public transport.

The trip will pretty much be of two parts. 

The first part will be a tour of a small part of British Columbia, Canada. Starting with a few days in Vancouver, we will be taking a ferry over to Vancouver Island and heading up to Port Hardy for five days in the north east corner. Obviously, Canada has the same issues with sheer scale as Australia, so I am very aware of how little of the country I will be seeing in the time we have.

Then, it's a day drive down to Victoria, before taking a ferry to Seattle and starting the US part; driving from Seattle to Los Angeles, largely along the Pacific Coast.
