Portland, Oregon, to Klamath, California

Just a very quick update.

Today was a long drive, eight hours from Portland OR to Newport OR, where we picked up Highway 101 and took it down to Klamath CA.

We spent an extra couple of hours in Portland to do some exploring, and in the tiny corner that we saw it looked like a great little city.

The coast road was fabulous, with views of the ocean and perfect weather. Unfortunately, with all the driving there was no time to stop and take photos.

Nice Streets: Portland, or at least the bit we saw, is another of these towns that look like its redeveloping the right way.

Portlands Flowers: there seems to be a lot of these about. I haven't had a chance to look up what it is. Some kind of rose?
Highway 101: there were plenty of views on Highway 101 through Oregon, but some of the most interesting parts were the little towns. They ranged from tiny ghost towns to surprising highrises like this.

Oregon Coast: a chance to take a snap during a stretch break.
